Braces for Feet and Ankle Problems

orthotic foot and ankle bracePositive support is always a good thing, especially when you suffer from foot pain or injury. Proven brace methods are used, along with the most advanced treatments, at Southwest Foot and Ankle Center of Lewisville, Plano and Irving

In cases of bone fracture or sprained ankle, for example, our podiatry team stabilizes your leg with a brace, cast or special boot.

Also, custom braces may be recommended as a non-surgical treatment option for conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, heel pain and diabetic foot. When properly placed, the brace will position the foot and or ankle in such a way that it might relieve the symptoms and reduce further damage. Splint systems can also brace toes as part of a therapy plan to treat such disorders as hammer toe, hallux varus or hallux valgus.

Dr. Reza Mobarak, DPM, FACFAS, FAPWCA, and his podiatric team may use braces to provide relief for a wide variety of foot and ankle disorders.
