Dr. Mark Mashni, DPM

Dr. Mashni, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky. Throughout his clinical exposure, he developed a passion for Podiatry. He then attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, FL where he graduated with honors.

Dr. Mashni then completed a rigorous Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency program with added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery in Boston, Massachusetts at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a major Boston University teaching hospital. During his residency, he served as a clinical associate of Tufts University School of Medicine. He then served as chief resident in his final year of residency showcasing his leadership and discipline. Dr. Mashni had extensive training under some of the most notable leaders of podiatric and orthopedic surgery. His training focused on reconstructive and revisional surgery of the foot and ankle, trauma, elective foot surgery, sports medicine, and limb salvage.

Dr. Mashni deeply believes in the philosophy of treating each patient as a whole. He believes in educating his patients about their foot and ankle pathologies, offering different treatment modalities, and tailoring the management based on each patient’s needs and preferences to ensure the best outcome. He will work with his patients to offer conservative and non-invasive approaches; and when necessary, he will offer the most advanced surgical techniques.

He is thrilled to be working at Southwest Foot and Ankle Center. He lives in Dallas with his wife, an endocrinologist at UTSW. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and snowboarding.
